Approvals

What it is

CAQ's review queue. Flagged submissions, such as new members and large handicap changes, land here for a human check before they touch the database.

Who it serves

CAQ admin only, in practice the membership officer role. Members and club secretaries never see it.

How it works

Turns "untangle a bad database entry over the phone" into a clear before-and-after view with one click to approve, or send back with an explanation. Routine small changes approve automatically, so the volunteer only sees the ones that matter.

  1. Open the queue.
  2. See what changed against the existing record.
  3. One click to approve, or send back with a note.

How it hits the ideals and aims

Keep it simple: the queue shows exactly what changed and asks one question. Hit our aims: quality data with a human in the loop only where it counts. Aims: 1 Strengthen Admin.

The benefit for croquet

Errors are caught before they reach the shared database, and every change is logged: who submitted it, when, what changed, and who approved it.
