Come & Try

What it is

Runs the whole Come & Try funnel. Public signups at comeandtrycroquet.com flow in as prospects and bookings, with SMS and email follow-up handled automatically. Clubs manage their own session times, and CAQ has a Command Centre showing the funnel, every club, the message inbox and system health in one place.

Who it serves

Prospective players (booking and reminders), each club's Come & Try contact ("Your Come & Try" and "Your times", scoped to their own club), and CAQ admin via the Command Centre. Clubs with bookings so far include East Brisbane, Eildon, Windsor, Stephens, Wynnum, McIlwraith, Ipswich and Burleigh Heads Palm Beach.

How it works

The system delivers people to the club's front door: "I've arranged for the person to come Thursday, they're yours now." A club supplies exactly two things, its session times and a contact person. Enquiry handling, booking, confirmation, SMS reminders and no-show follow-up are all automated.

For the visitor: pick a club and time on comeandtrycroquet.com, book (you can bring a friend), get an SMS confirmation, turn up. For the club contact: keep your times current on Your times, and greet the arrival.

The benefit for croquet

A steady, measured flow of new people onto lawns, and one source of truth for club times across the 42 clubs in the system.

Results so far

Since the 26 June 2026 relaunch: 31 guests signed up, 43 bookings, 14 already attended, 14 booked and coming, and 38 total heads counting invited friends, across 8 clubs. Early July checkpoint: 95% of sign-ups converted to a booking. Ads run to October now club times are verified, and John is touring Gold Coast clubs on it.
