MyCroquet Wiki / On trial

Committee Assistant

What it is

A private chat where committee members ask CroquetClaude about decisions, policies, clubs and members, and get answers with sources cited. The next version adds files in and artifacts out: drop in a recording and get draft minutes, drop in documents and get a proposal, with voice input.

Who it serves

Members with the committee grant. The named pilot pair is Marilyn Nelson and John van Barneveld.

How it works

Instant sourced answers instead of emailing Wade or digging through old minutes. The assistant cites what it found and refuses to guess rather than bluff, so an answer can be trusted or checked.

  1. Log in and open Committee Assistant.
  2. Type a question in plain words.
  3. Read the cited answer; follow the sources if you want the detail.

How it hits the ideals and aims

Cooperate for croquet: the association's knowledge available to every committee member equally. Keep it simple: ask in plain words, get a plain answer with its sources. Aims: 1 Strengthen Admin, 6 Encourage Innovative Ideas.

The benefit for croquet

CAQ's institutional knowledge (the committee wiki, records and history) becomes something the committee can actually query, instead of living in one person's head.

Results so far

Not yet measured. Version 1 is built and green on the trial site, hardened through two independent reviews; version 2 (uploads and minutes drafting) built 3 July 2026. Pilot invites to Marilyn and John are queued behind the version 2 sequencing.

Status: on trial (staging pilot); dark on live. As at 2026-07-11.
