What it is

A community photo gallery of Queensland croquet: a browsable, searchable archive, with member upload and curator approval.

Who it serves

All signed-in members for browsing and uploading; curators approve what appears (the same curator role that reviews articles).

How it works

Nobody maintains a club photo archive by hand or chases photos across Facebook and inboxes. At launch, 442 Facebook photos plus vault photos were imported automatically, each captioned and tagged by machine, with an AI vetting pass over 609 photos replacing days of volunteer sorting.

The benefit for croquet

The community's visual history is preserved in one place, and the news site and newsletter have a searchable picture source to draw on.

Results so far

Launched with 476 browsable items (463 photos and 13 club logos) from a backing store of 2,810, with 614 captioned and tagged for search.
