Membership

What it is

Club secretaries add, edit and deactivate their own club's members through a simple validated form, instead of working in RevSport. Changes flow to CAQ for review and then into the shared database.

Who it serves

Club secretaries (their own club only), the CAQ membership officer (all 41 clubs, with stats and the approval queue), and members viewing their own details. Alpha-tested with Helen, the CAQ Membership Officer, over six sessions.

How it works

Removes RevSport training for people who touch member data a few times a year. The form validates as they type (phones formatted, names cleaned, emails normalised), and a secretary cannot damage another club's records. It ends the paper-form, photo, email workaround and the phone calls to untangle bad entries.

  1. Log in (passwordless).
  2. Choose add, edit or deactivate.
  3. Fill the form; problems are flagged before you submit.
  4. Submit. CAQ reviews and it lands in the database, with a full audit trail.

How it hits the ideals and aims

Keep it simple: a plain form with the errors caught before submit. Cooperate for croquet: clubs and CAQ working off the same clean records. Aims: 1 Strengthen Admin, 4 Support Clubs, 3 Grow & Engage Members.

The benefit for croquet

One clean membership database instead of duplicates and mismatches. Every other module builds on this foundation.

Results so far

Production-ready since the 6 July 2026 release. Real club usage begins as secretaries come on board; John chose the membership form as the default post-login landing page.
